I was a little worried when ordering this item, because of the reviews. But decided to go ahead, because I knew I wanted the baby jogger city mini double as my stroller, and knew I couldn't live without a travel system (hubby was deployed leaving me alone in Germany with two under two). I had two different car seats, the Graco Snugride and the Maxi Cosi Mico. Luckily we were planning to use the Mico with my son, because the snug ride fit but not comfortably. And with the graco attachment it had a huge bar always sticking out. But, the Maxi Cosi Mico clipped right into the brackets. It is a little wobbly, but gets the job done. It isn't as sturdy as my Graco travel system was, but it was also a single and that car seat was made for that stroller. In a situation where an AMAZING double stroller is needing to carry one car seat, it does it's job.

This is a terrible design. The metal frame attaches to the city mini great... but you basically strap the car seat to that. If you're tying it down, then yes, technically any car seat will fit. But so would a broom stick or a grizzly bear. You could save yourself some money and get some rope and tie it to the city mini. It works the same way.
Chicco KeyFit 30 Doesn't Fit September 4, 2010

I purchased the City Mini stroller and this adaptor for my Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat. The adaptor arrived, and while it fit in the City Mini stroller, the KeyFit 30 car seat did not fit. The width of the car seat did not line up with the clamps on the outside of the adaptor.
Not sure which Chicco car seats this adaptor is suppose to fit, but it isn't compatible with the KeyFit 30.

The adapter is pretty good although expensive and not really neccessary. Be careful to order the correct one according to your stroller and car seat. If you search in Amazon for car seat adapter it gives you more than one Baby Jogger adapter, descriptions are not item specific and can be confusing. ***It's best to call Baby Jogger and ask them for the ITEM # based on your specific stroller and seat model*** Then type the item # in the Amazon search box so you don't waste 2 weeks like me trying to get the correct adapter.

This adapter does fit in the new 2010 Baby Jogger City Mini.....but the Chicco Fit 30 does not fit this adapter. Perhaps it is meant for a different Chicco infant car seat....but I promise you it won't fit a Chicco Fit 30 infant car seat!! Amazon does sell a second type of adapter....we are going to give that one a try.
