4 out of 5 stars Nice, but carrier is heavy   June 28, 2010
E. Hill (Pittsburgh)
I really like this stroller. It looks nice and cleans well. The carrier is pretty heavy--even without a baby in it--but it's manageable. I had trouble with it after having a C-section (lifting it out of the car, carrying it, etc), but once I healed and got better practice, I was fine.

5 out of 5 stars great travel system   April 6, 2010

This is the only one stroller and car seat system I own, but I did research a long time before the purchase.
I went to local stores to see and feel other brands, but they don't have enough cushion, most with just one layer of fabric over plastic on the infant car seat and I'm not sure I want to put my baby in it. And the stroller, it's so easy to steer/maneuver, I'm strolling my baby inside my house every day and never had a problem turning around corners and narrow hallways (sure I do outside as well when it's not too hot or cold).

Also my baby likes staying seated in the stroller, I can leave her buckled in for a good 20min. and she even naps in there :-) thanks to the reclining seat.

5 out of 5 stars Best Purchase I made   February 7, 2010

I will admit, I did not buy this travel system right at the beginning. I started with a different stroller and carseat that I ended up being unhappy with. I love the Chicco travel system for many reasons.

It is extremely sturdy and safe for my baby. My baby likes the carseat and is very comfortable in it (he did not like the first carseat I purchased). The stroller is easy to fold. And while the stroller is a little bit heaveier and bulkier than I would like it to be, I now feel it is worth it because it is so sturdy.

The only thing I would change about the car seat is that I would make the sun shade bigger. And the only thing I would change about the stroller is that I would have a velcro cover for the window in the top because my friends baby got a sunburn through it. She told me about that so I keep a blanket over the window so that it does not happen to my baby.

5 out of 5 stars good deal, durable quality   February 2, 2010

Like this very much, durable and safe. Light blue is also my favorite color~ I travel to Asia, and it's no problem as a check-in stuff.

4 out of 5 stars Great car seat, stroller a bit flimsy...   December 30, 2009

I researched for ages before deciding on the Chicco travel system. There was a lot to like about it..
1) the stroller was relatively light
2) easy to fold, while not quite one touch, folding is a painless process. My wife saw that as the main selling point when we were trying to chose. You do have to make sure the handle is in the right place to make it easier though.
3) maneuverable, very easy to get around on smooth pavement.
4) the infant seat clicks in very easily, you do again have to make sure the stroller's handle is in the correct position
5) the infant car seat fits easily in the base with a very reassuring click. You know it is locked in
6) while little bubs may not look comfortable to me, he sleeps very easily in the seat. Pretty much immediately after I put him in he falls asleep.
7) easy to tighten and sdjust the straps on the infant seat.

Now the dislikes of the stroller
1)very flimsy stroller, it looks cheaply made
2)not a fan of the plastic wheels, they get stuck on every curb and the stroller bounces a lot on anything that is not smooth pavement. I think it is a reflection of the wheels, too small so they limit where you can go with them
3) not much padding on the stroller.
4) The stroller takes up a lot of room in the trunk when folded, we have a VW Passat, and while not the largest trunk in the world, I did not expect not so little trunk space left!
5) Not sure we have a dodgy one but the front wheels sometimes lock themselves.

To be honest, this stroller will not last, while I am a fan of the infant seat, I do not see us with this stroller for very long. We will use the infant seat, which I am a huge fan until he grows out of it then move on to something else. So all in all it is worth 4 stars for the convenience of the travel system and the fact that our little one seems to like being in the infant seat. I am a bit concerned regarding the amount of padding on the seat after we remove the infant insert. For the price of the stroller and the seat, it is a great buy.
